J Mascis and Kim Gordon - "Slow Boy"

It feels like the pairing of J Mascis and Kim Gordon should happen much more regularly than it does. The two longtime friends, and western Massachusetts residents, have teamed up for "Slow Boy" for the Converse CONS EP series. The song isn't fantastic, but it features Kim Gordon's growling vocals over an insane J Mascis guitar riff. It's basically everything you expect it to be. It's the most mainstream of Gordon's post-Sonic Youth work, and the most experimental Mascis has been in a while. If you're a fan of either one (although you should be of both), you'll want to listen. In fact, you probably already hit play down below before even bothering to read this, which is the right thing to do.
