Lost Polaris - "Cordyceps (oh how she feigns)"

When you think of Texas and music, you're going to lean very heavily towards the country or country rock spectrum. Maybe they have some hip hop down there, but Texas is country... well, country. That's one of the things that makes this new song, "Cordyceps (oh how she feigns)" from Lost Polaris interesting. It's glitchy electronic pop without a hint of twang. It's pop while being experimental, made mostly with analog keyboards and "gadgets." The brain child of Hunter Mischnick, this may be the least Texan music to ever come out of Texas.

The debut EP from Lost Polaris, Selective Deafness, is due out June 15 on Ruby Music. You can check out Lost Polaris' Bandcamp, or like Hunter Mischnick on Facebook
