Dream Wife - "Love You More"

Dream Wife released the excellent Social Lubrication earlier this year, and have just released an unreleased song that didn't make the cut. (Considering we used to pay $10-$20 for these songs on imported CD singles, getting a streaming version is pretty sweet.) "Love You More" was inspired by bands like Pixies and Hole, and it definitely sounds like those inspirations. In particular, the drums are giving me some major Pixies vibes, as is the spacey feeling in the guitar. It's definitely more on the pop and New Wave side of those bands, like Trompe le Monde meets "Malibu" era Hole. It's a solid song that's an unexpected present from the London based band!

Dream Wife say of their new song:

“'Love You More' is not your typical love song, but a love song to the self and choosing to love perfectly imperfect bodies. It has a gritty underbelly, dealing with self-acceptance, body dysmorphia, disaster capitalism, climate collapse and depression. From the micro to the macro, the song explores the relationship between the self and both the body and the earth as experiences of home, as a vessel for feeling.”
