Castle Black - "Bright-Eyed"
Based in Brooklyn, Castle Black are a grunge/post-punk band, but there is much more to their sound than that. Their latest single, "Bright-Eyed," is filled with grungy guitars and a post-punk backbeat, and it's not quite goth, but it's at the very least goth-adjacent. The song is much more dense than you typically get with grunge or post-punk, and it's quite cinematic. "Bright-Eyed" keeps a sense of foreboding throughout while still being quite beautiful. Plus, the song is strangely hypnotic. You'll find yourself drawn fully into the song without even realizing it. You can watch the video for "Bright-Eyed" below. The Highway at Night is due out later this year. For more on Castle Black, check out the artist's website . Upcoming tour dates are below the video.
