A Place to Bury Strangers - "Hold on Tight"
Photo by Heather Bickford Last month we brought you "Let's See Each Other" from A Place to Bury Strangers. It was still a huge noisy song, but it was more electronic than pure rock. On their latest, "Hold on Tight," A Place to Bury Strangers bring back the rock in a huge way. This new song is a huge, noisy rock song that pummels the listener while just plowing forward. Guitars swirl around bass and drums as the song drives forward, feeling much faster than it actually is. Somehow, it does all this while still having some sense of melody. It's a noisy rock song, but it doesn't quite make it to being a noise song. There is just too much of a sense of traditional structure and melody here, even if it is buried under an avalanche of distortion. You can watch the video for "Hold on Tight" below.
