Babehoven - "Fugazi"

Portland, OR's Babehoven are back with a new song. "Fugazi" is a relatively laid back folk-ish song. It has a lazy and languid vibe to it, with instruments sounding like they're playing at half speed and Maya Bon's vocals matching the tempo. However, that laid back vibe is hiding lyrical venom which you can detect the more you pay attention to it. "Fugazi" is about the misogyny you get in the indie music scene, and how depressing and rage inducing it can be. This is the kind of song that just gets better and more nuanced the more times you listen, and the more attention you pay to it.

You can watch the video for "Fugazi" below. Sunk is due out March 4 on Double Double Whammy, and can be pre-ordered here. For more on Babehoven, check out the artist's website.
