The singles we've heard and have come to love from The Baby Seals have (so far) been fun punk rock singles that have a biting sense of humor. As badass as they can be, they're still fun rock songs. That changes with "Invisible Woman." This sees the UK punks getting a lot louder and bursting into the worlds of grunge and metal. "Invisible Woman" is an absolute rager of a song more in line with a band like L7. It's ferocious and has a mammoth sound, but it's still sounds like The Baby Seals. This song is giant fuzzed out guitars and even bigger thundering drums.
Kerry Devine says of her band's new single:
“A friend once explained to me what happens when as a woman you get to a certain age, you become Invisible! This song explores the societal invisibility women experience as they age. we want women to know that they're seen and celebrated.”
You can watch the video for "Invisible Woman" below. Chaos is due out April 19 on Trapped Animal, and is available for pre-order here. For more on The Baby Seals, check out the band's website.
