Blondshell - "Two Times"

No one is doing the indie rock meets alt-pop thing quite like Blondshell. Sabrina Teitelbaum's musical project just released a new single that is set to blow minds. "Two Times" is a stunning piano and acoustic guitar ballad that is as simple and as lush as it could possibly be. Teitelbaum's vocals and lyrics are at the forefront of the track, and while she's always been a fantastic songwriter (just watch her play the song "Sepsis" live and listen to the scream along lyric "The sex is almost always bad / I don't care 'cause I'm in love" to see how much her lyrics resonate with her audience), but she's on a completely new level with "Two Times." As someone who is usually focuses on the sound of the song first and the lyrics second or third, the lyrics of this one grabbed me immediately. Expect this one to be a popular wedding song for the Gen-Z crowd.

Sabrina Teitelbaum says of her latest single:

“I feel like I’m always seeing movies and shows where conflict is the only way love is expressed. It’s a lot of stories where someone has to work really hard to get somebody else to love them, and that’s what seems to make the relationship valuable. This song was basically like, what if it’s just solid? What if it’s just good and the relationship’s healthy? Does that mean it is less valuable? I think that’s a painful question because it’s essentially asking how capable you are of being in a decent relationship. But it’s also a love song in that way.”

You can watch the video for "Two Times" below. If You Asked for a Picture is due out May 2 on Partisan Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Blondshell, check out the artist's website. Upcoming tour dates are below the video and include a June 19 stop at Royale in Boston.

  1. After working with the MARK WIZARD RECOVERY, everything changed for me. It was the most trying period of my life, and I had been in agony and sorrow for ten months. I was at my lowest moment and had lost all I had worked so hard to acquire. But, thanks to The Hackers at The MARK WIZARD'S RECOVERY CENTRE, I was able to regain everything I had lost all at once. I got my money returned in under twenty hours, and my issue was handled in a very professional manner. It seemed so unreal. No one could ever fully understand how I was feeling at that very moment—the feeling you get when you find something you thought you had lost forever—in this case, my life was returned to me—is something I doubt anyone could ever comprehend. For their efforts in getting my money back after ten months of devastation, the MARK WIZARD'S Team of Hackers has my eternal gratitude. I wholeheartedly endorse this team and urge anyone who has had a similar circumstance to get in touch with the Mark Wizard Recovery.
