Wah Together - "Sayonara"

Wah Together are a New York City supergroup featuring Jaiko Suzuki (Electroputas), Phil Mossman (ex-LCD Soundsystem), Vito Roccoforte (The Rapture), and Steve Schiltz (Longwave). The band's debut single, "Sayonara," is a wonderfully upbeat song about saying goodbye to a lost lover. The song is an impossibly catchy one, rife with a ton of familiar 90's sounds. If this was 1997, Wah Together would be signed by Grand Royal. "Sayonara" starts off bubbly and upbeat. This is the kind of alt-rock/pop you would hear from a band like Bis, but maybe a little more laid back. Slowly the intensity of the song builds up into multiple indie rock eruptions, each one building on the last. If you haven't found a lot to get excited about in 2022 yet, you just haven't check these folks out yet.
