Boston tends to have a certain sound to its bands, so it's always refreshing to hear a band that sounds nothing like anyone else in town. Damndest are one of those bands just doing their own thing. The duo's first single, "Behind," is a mixture of classic New Wave and post-punk, but it also adds in some of the melody of 90's alt-rock. It's intensely dance friendly without truly being electronic, although at times it dances right on the border of electronic music. It does dabble a bit into darkwave, but it's a little too rock based to fully commit.
