Run Into the Night - "Common Stream of Consciousness"

Glasgow's Run Into the Night cite Queens of the Stone Age and Blondie as influences, and you're going to hear that on their latest single. "Common Stream of Consciousness" has that dirty garage meets metal sound of QOTSA with the punk and disco melodies of Blondie. It doesn't hurt that Christina Cassette has more than a little of a Debbie Harry vibe in her vocals, either. Along with the QOTSA influence, you're going to hear plenty of the early 00's garage revival of artists like The White Stripes and The Kills. Having a song with a darkness to the music and a lightness to the vocals is always great, and "Common Stream of Consciousness" is going to hit that spot for you.
