On her latest song, Carsie Blanton gets a little more serious and heartfelt. "When Somebody's Gone" is about the loss of Blanton's grandmother, and is also dedicated to anyone that is grieving. It's a stripped down song that is just Blanton's vocals and acoustic guitar, and it's simply stunning. It's a quiet, contemplative loss that, although (obviously sad), it has that nostalgic sense of loss that comes with remembering the best of someone you've lost, and helps you celebrate as much as mourn them.
