New York City post-punk legends Bush Tetras have released another new single before the release of their album later this month. "Bird on a Wire" is a song that is both oddly noisy and melodic. The vocals are more along the lines of mid-90's post-grunge/bubble grunge kind of sound. They're very melodic and lean a bit into pop. Musically, "Bird on a Wire" sound a bit like a more mellow version of The Jesus Lizard with a little bit of a dub stutter at times. It's an interesting dichotomy for the song that might not work for everyone, but a band like Bush Tetras isn't exactly meant to work for everyone at all times.
You can watch the video for "Bird on a Wire" below. They Live In My Head is due out July 28 on Wharf Cat Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Bush Tetras, check out the band on Facebook and Instagram. Upcoming tour dates are below the video.
