Bite Me Bambi - "Do the Damned"

We're ska apologists here at If It's Too Loud..., and one of our favorite recent discoveries has been Bite Me Bambi. The Southern California band just released a new single that adds a little bit of a new sound to the typical modern ska template. "Do the Damned" is a just under two minute quickie that adds some vintage 60's girl group harmonies along with some a rockabilly guitar solo. Ska can be a fairly vintage sound at this point, and adding extra vintage sounds works surprisingly well. It's a genre that works best when it's fun, and Bite Me Bambi have improbably made it even more so.
Frontwoman Tahlena Chikami says of the band's new single and video:
"Do The Damned is a song about deciding not to be a people pleaser anymore. We wanted the video to reflect that same attitude. Drawing inspiration from the viral Wednesday Addams dance, our choreographer, Kimmay Evans, brought to life a vision full of IDGAF energy. Executed by director Chris Graue and featuring Colby Rodgers of Strawberry Fuzz."
