Battlemode - "Just Pretend"

Chiptune electronic pop trio Battlemode are back with a new single, filled with the sounds of a vintage 8-bit Game Boy. "Just Pretend" is a pure pop song that reminds me of TRL in the early 00's, just a hipper version. Well... hipper if you consider music that uses video game music to be more hip. This is just a fun song that can even win over the aging hipsters (ie: me) if we can just get over ourselves and let music can be fun. This is the kind of song that is worth a listen, even if you typically recoil at pure pop music. It's just a great, and fun, version of the genre.

Astro says of his band's latest single:

“‘Just Pretend’ is about two people starting a possible new relationship, but still having reservations because of past love trauma. They ultimately decide to ‘Just Pretend’ that stuff doesn’t matter and to live for the moment. The theme and lyrics were inspired by a relationship I was in where we both were scarred by the past, but we wanted to pretend we were normal people, and could have a fresh start.”

You can listen to "Just Pretend" below. For more on Battlemode, check out the band's website. If you happen to be in the Boston area on September 15, they're playing Hack the Planet Day at the Somerville Theater, which includes a screening of Hackers with Renoly Santiago who played Phantom Phreak in attendance.

  1. RECOVER STOLEN CRYPTO ASSETS-SYNACK HACKERS
The last thing I expected to be able to do was recover a total of $ 57530 USDT lost in my account, but fortunately Synack Hackers, a special team of authorized hackers, came to my aid. I had to seek assistance from the team who were able to regain my account in a matter of 48 hours after it had been lost to an internet imposter who pretended to be a broker and had denied me access for more than a month. They provided amazing services and were a pleasure to work with. Should you require their assistance? Synack Hackers is reachable.
