chlothegod - "My GF H8s Me"

As with a lot of new music, the latest from chlothegod bridges multiple genres. "My GF H8s Me" starts off as a hip hop/R&B hybrid, and slowly adds some beats that are going to remind you of 90's drum and bass. As the song progresses, you get some vintage alt-rock sounds that start to take over and dominate the song. Throughout the entire song, chlothegod keeps a laid back tone to her vocals even as the intensity increases. Even if you typically don't get into R&B or pop music (or maybe especially if you don't usually like these styles), you need to check out "My GF H8s Me." chlothegod is the type of artist that could break out in a gigantic way at any time.

chlothegod says of her upcoming EP:

“It's the first time that I've ever been able to scream that loud, both metaphorically and literally... I was able to experiment with my own voice, along with the words I said — the things that I meant when I said them. Even just the literal volume in which I sing on my new project feels symbolic to me.”
