Joey Quiñones - "Don't Let Go"

When Joey Quiñones of Thee Sinseers released his first solo single, "Driftin'," the press release said that it was a combination of soul and rocksteady. I personally didn't hear it, but that's not the case with his latest single. "Don't Let Go" is pure rocksteady meets soul. Particularly the horn and guitar are unmistakably rocksteady, but Quiñones' vocals hit this interesting middle ground between the two styles. This is perfect for fans of both vintage soul and any blend of reggae/ska. "Driftin'" had us excited to hear his upcoming album, but "Don't Let Go" has us dying to hear more.
You can listen to "Don't Let Go" below. Inna Soul Steady Situation is due out May 29 on Colemine Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Joey Quiñones, check out the artist on Instagram.
