Miracle Blood - "Swollen"

Miracle Blood are a Boston based band that are making heavy alt-rock. Their latest single, "Swollen," is reminding me a lot of 90's hard rocking bands that weren't quite metal but seemed to get along well with the metal crowd and were at home at Lollapalooza or Warped Tour. I'm hearing the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Helmet, Toadies, etc. It's loud, and hard, and shouty, and who doesn't need that occasionally? Andrew Wong has secretly developed one of the best screams in the city, and it's on full display here. "Swollen" is a music connoisseur's headbanger.

You can listen to "Swollen" below. Melter is due out October 4, and can be pre-ordered over at Bandcamp. For more on Miracle Blood, check out the band's Facebook.
