Squash - Where Did I Go?

It's such a bummer to discover a band just as they're breaking up. Lowell's Squash just released a three song EP yesterday that is most likely going to be their final release. The band is made up of members of Inspector 34, Disco Volante, and Dad Doxxxer, and judging by Where Did I Go?, we missed out on a great band. The opening track, ""Whatever It's Like Is That's What's Happening," is this giant indie rock song that sounds like if The Jesus Lizard went pop punk. "Somehow Nothing" is tame in comparison, but is still this bizarre almost weirdo folk song that has a little Butthole Surfers meets Guided By Voices thing going on. The third and final song, "Smokingman's Dead," is this crazy monster jam session that sounds like if Collective Soul and late period Sonic Youth were merged into a monstrosity against their will. We may just be discovering Squash, but they will be dearly missed.

You can watch the video for "Whatever It's Like Is That's What's Happening" below. Where Did I Go? is available now via Bandcamp. For more on Squash, check them out on Facebook and Instagram.
