Owen FitzGerald - "I Went Back in Time (To Tell You I Love You)"

Durham, NC's Owen FitzGerald has created one of the most unique love songs you've ever heard. "I Went Back in Time (To Tell You I Love You)" is an indie rock meets folk rocker that imagines FitzGerald going back in time to meet his wife before they met, but then abandoning the plan since doing so could jeopardize everything (the laws of time travel and all...) It's a ridiculously fun song filled with a bunch of fuzz and heart, along with the perfect amount of twang. FitzGerald has hit the perfect mix of indie rock and folk, which is kind of our sweet spot around here, so obviously we're going to be on board for a song this epic.

Owen FitzGerald says of the song:

“I wrote this song for her birthday, and as I wrote I realized: I'm so glad she didn't know me in my 20s. It wasn't the right time, but I'm so glad I know her now.  Where will our timeline go next? I'm still greedy for our future.”
