Jody and the Jerms - "Intuition"

There's such an influx of bands inspired by the 90's lately, and we're fully on board for it. Our latest discovery is Jody and the Jerms. While most bands that borrow from the 90's seem to be going for grunge of the mid-90's power pop sound, the Oxford, UK band is going for a more dream pop or jangle pop sound. Their latest single, "Intuition," is going to appeal quite strongly to fans of bands like The Sundays or The Primitives. There is also some similarities to bands like Belle & Sebastian and The Go-Gos. "Intuition" is a catchy, upbeat song that also has a sense of sadness. It's an absolutely lovely song that is going to smash your nostalgia button in a perfect way.

Frontwoman Jody Jeger says of the song:

"Intuition is about how it feels being two timed and cheated on. But also how a broken heart can soon heal, and then you look back and wonder how did I let that happen and ask ‘had I listened to my intuition, the signs were there."

You can watch the video for "Intuition" below. The song is available as a download via Bandcamp. For more on Jody and The Jerms, check out the band's website.
