Greenfield, MA's Rosie Porter and the Neon Moons specialize in "sentimental country" music, and their new single personifies that sound. "The Right Random Stranger" is a sentimental cowboy song about a sentimental cowboy. It's the kind of country ballad that should have come out any time in the past five or so decades. The music may sound more up to date, but Porter's vocals sound like they should be coming out of a radio that's its own piece of furniture. There's this beautiful, timeless quality to the song that's irresistible to us, and certainly doesn't sound like it's made by anyone this far north.
You can listen to "The Right Random Stranger" below. The song is currently available via Bandcamp. For more on Rosie Porter and the Neon Moons, check out the band's website.
