Le Mur - "Porno"

Spain's Le Mur have a blistering new punk meets alt-rock single out. According to the press release, "Porno" is "... an urgent and uncomfortable reflection on the societal pressure imposed on women to meet unattainable beauty standards." The song is powerful and intense, even at its slower parts. It's filled with heavy, fuzzed out guitars, and vocalist Elsa moves between almost spoken word to beautiful sung vocals to an almost whisper to a bludgeoning scream at different parts. The song is as lovely as it is brutal, sometimes at the same time. It's reminding me of a combination of The Gits, Helmet, and Paramore. "Porno" is a fantastic and important new single, and you're going to dig this one.

Le Mur say of their latest single:

“We wanted to talk about that constant pressure to fit into an impossible mold. That feeling of living inside a glass cage that tightens a little more every single day.”

You can watch the video for "Porno" below. Bruto is due out March 25 on Spinda Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Le Mur, check out the band on Instagram.
