Michael Des Barres - "Kiss or Kill Me

You might know actor/musician Michael Des Barres through his time as Murdoc on MacGuyver, or from his rock and soul show on Little Steven's Underground Garage on Sirius/XM. Now, he has a brand new single out on Rum Bar Records. "Kiss or Kill Me" is a glam filled garage and punk rock song. It has the groove of the 60's with some of the venom of the 70's and 80's. This is a fun rock and roll song, and if you're a fan of the music on Little Steven's Underground Garage or Rum Bar Records, you're going to love "Kiss or Kill Me." The song is great, and then the guitar solo comes in and demolishes everything that came before it. It has that slickness you associate with glam with more than a little bit of the chaos that comes with punk. 

Michael Des Barres says of his latest single:

“It’s now or never. Really the song is an anthem of love – love me or leave me. You either bring love to life, or you're not living.”

Somehow, you can hear that vibe in his latest single, "Bright Side." The song just feels like home. It's a laid back indie folk/singer-songwriter track that is overflowing with warmth. The sing is on the mainstream side of its genres, but when you nail a sound like Gerard has, there's certainly nothing wrong with that. This is the type of song that is pleasant and enjoyable when you first start it, and then you end up liking it more and more as it goes. By the time it's over, you're going to want to listen again. By the third or fourth listen, "Bright Side" is going to end up one of your favorite songs of this young year. Izzy Heltai - "Father"

His latest single, "Father," might be the perfect example of that. It's a quiet, deeply personal song that starts off painfully sparse but ever so slowly builds and builds as it goes on.
