Pearl - "Act Like Sisters"

Baltimore's Pearl have a new single out, and if you love punk and hardcore, this one is going to be for you. "Act Like Sisters" is an absolute powerhouse of a song, and packs more than possible into under two minutes. The song takes off in full force during the first second. There's no warm up needed for Pearl, they just start immediately. From there "Act Like Sisters" doesn't slow down at all, unless you count the breakdown as a slow down. It's loud, it's intense, and it's in your face, all in the best possible way. The only time the song slows down at all is the last twenty or so seconds when it morphs into an electronic/hip hop chill out track. Strap yourself in and prepare for the intensity that is Pearl.

Vocalist Sienna Cureton-Mahoney says of the band's latest single:

"'Act Like Sisters’ is the epitome of any horror movie in which the lead actress is pushed to her limits, combusting into a ‘Carrie’ like fury after being manipulated one too many times. I channeled these women as I wrote the song, reflecting on the few times when I’ve been confronted with the knowledge of someone I respect fully lying to my face. Should I take the high road or should I burn everything to the ground? This song is about the latter. It's the metaphorical slap of having trust  broken and the violent gut reaction that follows. Each song in the album 'Love And Grief' is a different facet on the emotional scale and Act Like Sisters is steeped in rage."
