Sunday Junkie - Daisy St. Patience

Worcester, MA's own Sunday Junkie released an album last week that almost slipped by us, which would have been a bummer since Daisy St. Patience is great. The eleven songs on the new album are a bit more quiet than I had expected, but the alt-rock duo have created a moody collection of songs that reside in the darker side of the musical spectrum. Daisy St. Patience is a gorgeous album that combines post-hardcore, prog rock, and at times pop into a unique mixture that can best be compared to The Mars Volta meets Deftones. As quiet and mellow as Sunday Junkie's latest can be, it's never dull or laid back. Even the most chilled out song still has an intensity behind it. It's also a highly polished album that keeps an edge throughout, even on a ballad like "Rotting Fruit." We've been following Sunday Junkie since they first surfaced in 2024, so you'd think we'd have expected how epic Daisy St. Patience is, but they've blown us away with this one.

You can listen to Daisy St. Patience below. The album is available through Bandcamp. For more on Sunday Junkie, check out the band on Facebook and Instagram.
