Sierra Spirit is from Tulsa, OK, and is a member of the Otoe-Missouria and Keetoowah Cherokee tribes. Her latest single, "better wild," is a breathtaking and intimate song that straddles the worlds between indie pop and country. It sounds a little like if Phoebe Bridgers went country. It's an intense mix of a raw, confessional style song over a more cheery sounding song. If you're into any of the members of boygenius and/or artists like Margo Price, "better wild" is going to be for you. Sierra Spirit has an uncanny ability to take a simple song and make it utterly captivating.
Sierra Spirit says of her latest single:
“Sometimes we meet people who just can’t commit and feel like being exclusive takes away their freedom. This track follows the mental progression of letting go of someone who never wanted to be yours to begin with.”
