Canyon Lights - "Let Me In"

Canyon Lights are the new project of Pat Faherty and Tim Carman, formerly of GA-20. Their latest single, "Let Me In," is going to appeal to fans of their previous band while still branching out in new sonic directions. It's still that swampy blues sound, but Canyon Lights add in some 70's power pop into that sound. This one is reminding me kind of like a ZZ Top meets Bay City Rollers combination. It's a fun sound that is strangely irresistible. It's a lot higher energy than a mid-tempo song typically has, and if this is the kind of single we can expect from Canyon Lights, they're going to quickly become a favorite around here.

Pat and Tim say of their upcoming debut album:

“The songs on this album are among the most personal we’ve ever written and recorded. Spending 200 days a year on the road, struggling with separation and loss, the thrill and loneliness of living out of a suitcase... a lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this album. We held nothing back and we can’t wait for you all to experience these stories with us...”
