Ezra Furman - "Grand Mal"
Any new song from Ezra Furman is something to celebrate. The Boston singer-songwriter always has a completely different sound to every single while still sounding exactly like her. "Grand Mal" has this amazing laid back singer-songwriter sound with an R&B vibe and a retro cool that doesn't really fit any specific time period. It's the kind of song that sounds like it was written for a movie to fit a certain scene, but also works universally as a great song. Furman is one of the most talented and creative artists in music today. If you're familiar with her work, you already know that. If you're just discovering her, welcome to her fandom. You're in for a treat.
You can watch the video for "Grand Mal" below. Goodbye Small Head is due out May 16 on Bella Union, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Ezra Furman, check out the artist's website.
