Kim Gordon - "PLAY ME"

Kim Gordon's recent solo work has been more on the electronic/trap side of things, so her latest single is an almost complete departure. "PLAY ME" is much more laid back and has an underground hip hop feel to it. It sounds like the soundtrack to my high school summers, which isn't something I'd expect from Kim Gordon. While her recent singles have at least been hip hop adjacent, "PLAY ME" still comes off as surprising. This is a wonderfully chill song, and it's great that Gordon can continue to surprise us all this deep into her career.

You can watch the video for "PLAY ME" below. The album PLAY ME is due out March 13 on Matador Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Kim Gordon, check out the artist's website. Upcoming tour dates are below the video.
