Arny Margret - "I Miss You, I Do"

Iceland's Arny Margret is back with a new single off an upcoming album. If you loved her 2022 album they only talk about the weather, you're going to be into the first single, "I Miss You, I Do" even with a slight change in sound. While Margret's previous album was a more stripped down version of folk, this new song has a more full and lush sound to it. The album was produced by Josh Kaufman, who has also produced for Bonny Light Horseman. I only mention that since "I Miss You, I Do" shares some sonic traits with Kaufman's work with that band, including the intimate qualities and stunning beauty. Margret's latest may be more mainstream than her previous release, but it never falls into folk pop territory. This is a great evolution for one of our favorite young artists.
Arny Margret says of her latest single:
“I wanted to have a good song to take with me, so I wrote it in my pyjamas in the Airbnb I was staying at before I went to sleep. I think it’s become the song I’m most fond of on the album.”
You can listen to "I Miss You, I Do" below. I Miss You, I Do, the album, is due out March 7 on One Little Independent Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Arny Margret, check out the artist's website. Upcoming tour dates are below the song.
