Man/Woman/Chainsaw - "The Boss"

We've only heard two singles from London's Man/Woman/Chainsaw, and we're already impressed by how diverse the band is proving to be. Released back in August, "Grow a Tongue in Time" was a moody, theatrical noise rock song with string instruments. Their latest, "The Boss," is more traditionally a rock song that keeps the theatricality intact. It's more of a punk style song, faster and noisy, with some serious hardcore style breakdowns. This is a huge sounding song overflowing with noise and melody, and it's just purely badass punk mad more so by violin.

The band says of their latest single:

“‘The Boss’ is the heaviest of the songs on the EP and definitely a live favorite of ours. We wanted to express our frustration with imbalanced power dynamics in our everyday lives with a big supermassive rant of a rock song. Working in the studio with Dan Fox of Gilla Band was fun and allowed us to experiment with getting the song to sound as spacey as we could get it - we particularly enjoyed recording the electric violin through guitar amps cranked to 10 while simultaneously manipulating a tape delay unit."

You can watch the visualizer for "The Boss" below. Eazy Peazy is due out November 8 on Fat Possum, and is available for pre-order through Bandcamp. For more on Man/Woman/Chainsaw, check out the band on Instagram and Facebook.
