UK hard rock duo God Damn have a new single, heavier than anything they've done before. They're a hard act to classify, as they fit more into the generic "hard rock" category than metal, while still having a smidge of metal thrown in. "Horus" reminds me of Alice Cooper mixed with bands like Clutch or Helmet. Not so much for the style comparison, but more of the way they bridge the gap between metal and alternative by making it a sound more their own. It's been a while since I've been this intrigued by anything that could be considered hard rock.
"Horus" will be available digitally on October 27, with a full length available on Ten Little Indian Records sometime in April 2015. You can listen to "Horus" below, and be sure to check out their website.
