Dropper - "Don't Worry"

The press release from NYC's Dropper has some great little tidbits of information. Dropper was started by Andrea Scanniello who wrote most of the band's debut album "... behind the desk of a bowling alley where she sprayed sweaty bowling shoes in exchange for a little bit of money and quite a bit of beer." The press release also states that Dropper creates music for "People who have worked in the service industry too long and become curmudgeons at the ripe old age of 26," "People who are lonely yet want to be left alone," and "Bisexuals with crumbs in their bed," among others. The band's new single, "Don't Worry," is an upbeat song brimming with both post-punk and psychedelic groove. It's also filled with some 90's alternative power pop along with modern day straight up pop hooks. It's a ridiculously fun and uptempo song despite the lyrics. We're going to be watching Dropper very closely while we wait for their full length album next year.

You can listen to "Don't Worry" below. Don't Talk to Me, the upcoming debut from Dropper, is due out February 11 on Dirt Dog. You can pre-order/pre-save a copy here. For more on Dropper, check out the band's website. Upcoming tour dates with Habibi are below the song.

  1. According to researchers, magic mushrooms ease anxiety and depression because of the feeling of love and being "one" with everything. This causes a change in the brain, or neuroplasticity. "Studies using MRI imaging show psilocybin alters brain activity, allowing for communication between regions of your brain that normally do not connect. This is believed to be part of the breakthroughs people report." buy psychedelic drugs in usa
