The latest from Low Harness might be the catharsis we all need right now. "Too Long Together" starts off with this sense of melancholy. It sounds like it's going to be a Cure-esque song, and we would have still loved it if it stayed in that tone. As the song kicks in, it gets a little heavier and more rock based. And then it changes into this fantastic 80's Sonic Youth style song (particularly the guitars) meets a more modern, pop focused sound. It's interesting hearing the chugging and wild early alternative style guitars mixing with a more modern style. As with their previous single "Salvo," "Too Long Together" is a thrilling song that has us desperate to hear more from Low Harness.
Hannah Gledhill (vocals, guitar) says of the band's latest single:
"Two Long Together is the acknowledgement of when a relationship is over and isn't going to work, and the longer you leave it the worse the inevitable feels. This was a cathartic number for me to blow some cobwebs off."
You can listen to "Too Long Together" below. Salvo is due out December 6 on Krautpop!, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Low Harness, check out the band on Instagram.
