Wild Ponies - "Dreamers"

Nashville's Wild Ponies have a new single out that's going to appeal to any fans of Americana. "Dreamers" lands squarely in the worlds of folk and country. It's definitely leaning more heavily into the country category, particularly honky tonk. The song has a modern take on the old timey country category, and while many songs that can be described as "honky tonk" have a little bit of a hokey feel, "Dreamers" doesn't at all. It seems to draw on the classic sounds of Johnny Cash and Hank Williams, but with a bit of a 70's twist (particularly the guitar solo), and modernized for today's music fans.
You can listen to "Dreamers" below. Dreamers, the album, is due out August 23, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Wild Ponies, check out the artist's website.
