The latest single from Boston based artist/activist Evan Greer is a delightfully nostalgic ode to a simpler time. "$5" is a killer alt-rock song about the days of DIY and basement shows that cost five dollars at the door. It's about the magical time when we were all filled with hope and were only there for a true love of music. Even the music has a nostalgic bent, with a guitar solo that sounds straight out of your favorite late 90's/early 00's song. It even features guitar and vocals from members of Eve 6, just to add to the nostalgic factor. This might be the power ballad of the year, and it's sure to remind you of your good old days.
