The Planet Smashers - "Meet Me on the Dancefloor"

Montreal's The Planet Smashers have been making some of the finest ska since 1994, and are set to release their tenth studio album next month. Their latest single, "Meet Me on the Dancefloor," is everything you love about ska if you're already a fan of theirs, and is a perfect example of third wave ska. Sure, the song is a little more mellow than you might expect, but I think we've all mellowed out a bit in the past thirty years. It's still a very upbeat track sure to inspire many a person to head out to the dancefloor. This is music that exists to be fun and make you forget your problems by having a good time. Sometimes you need that, and The Planet Smashers are more than happy to provide that kind of time.

You can watch the video for "Meet Me on the Dancefloor" below. On the Dancefloor is due out August 22 on Stomp Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on The Planet Smashers, check out the band's website.
