Lauren Lovelle might have done the impossible: The Kansas City based musician may have just made a song that all country music fans can enjoy. "Anxiously Attached" leans into the modern mainstream country sound enough that the masses can enjoy it, but with enough of a twang that fans of a more classic country sound to be satisfied. She also has enough of an edge to the song that will also win over alt-country fans. "Anxiously Attached" is the kind of single that once you hear it, you'll be expecting it to erupt at any time. Lovelle should end up being a huge country star in the next few years, and if this song is any indication, she'll be able to do it without compromising her sound.
Lauren Lovelle says of her new single:
“I was begging for the bare minimum, putting my partner on a pedestal, and repeatedly disappointing myself. I find myself laughing during that 'dammit I gotta work the dinner shift' line, because I am often playing a gig right after a lunch or dinner shift.”
You can listen to "Anxiously Attached" below. Other Dreams is due out September 9. For more on Lauren Lovelle, check out the artist on Instagram.
