Yawn Mower - "New Years at the Airport"

Asbury Park's Yawn Mower have a new single out that keeps their 90's inspired sound alive. "New Years at the Airport" is a fun and upbeat song that is going to remind you of your favorite mid to late 90's artists. It was a magical time where most of the alt-rock coming out was decidedly power pop, but no one realized it at the time so everyone went with post-grunge. This new song is filled with fuzzed out guitars and a catchy chorus, and it's reminding me a lot of bands like Fountains of Wayne, Weezer, and Nerf Herder. Plus, the video is a tribute to The Big Lebowski, which is a very 90's-esque thing to do. This is a fun song with a fun video that never dips too far into its humor. "New Years at the Airport" is a new song that is going to hit that nostalgia button for you quite hard.

Mike Chick says of his band's latest single and video:

“We took a quick band picture holding our bowling balls in front of the lanes. That started us thinking we should come take some good pictures at the bowling alley, which turned into let’s film a video at the bowling alley, which finally led to let’s film an homage to ‘The Big Lebowski’ at the bowling alley.”

You can watch the video for "New Years at the Airport." I Just Can't Wait to Die is due out August 15 on Mint 400 Records, and is available for pre-order through Bandcamp.
