The Prefab Messiahs - "The Man Who Killed Reality"

Following up on 2015's reunion album, Keep Your Stupid Dreams Alive, Worcester, MA's finest The Prefab Messiahs are back with a follow up single. According to singer Xerox Feinberg, the band "... didn't have any interest in putting out an obvious PC political message song like cranky old folk singers...," but that's the world we live in currently. Bands with no previous political leanings are now feeling the need to speak out. The new single, "The Man Who Killed Reality," is an obvious anti-Trump song, and, just in case the listener didn't quite get it, the accompanying animated video drives it home that much more. What's interesting is "The Man Who Killed Reality" eschews the edgier, punk leaning sound of Keep Your Stupid Dreams Alive and has a more flow child 60s sound to it, despite their desire to not sound like "cranky old folk singers." Luckily, the lead guitar has this just out of tune Stooges meets Sgt. Pepper sound that holds the entire thing together.

You can get your own free copy of "The Man Who Killed Reality" at Bandcamp. You can watch the video below. For more on The Prefab Messiahs, be sure to follow them on Facebook.
