Ska-punk veterans Mustard Plug have a new single out to tide us over until their new album is released next week. "Doin' What We Do" is classic ska-punk. It's wonderfully catchy and just a pure joy to listen to. It's punk tuned guitars mixing with horns in a way that feels like it's trying to inspire a party to break out. As with most music in the genre, you can just tell that "Doin' What We Do" is going to be an absolute blast to hear live. It's not very often that a band with a thirty plus year history can make you excited about their new music (particularly in ska or punk), but Mustard Plug are the rare exception.
You can watch the video for "Doin' What We Do" below. Where Did All My Friends Go? is due out September 8 on Bad Time Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Mustard Plug, check out the band on Facebook and Instagram. Upcoming tour dates are below the video.
