The latest from folk-punk singer Katie MF resides more on the side of punk than folk. "Work Drinks" starts off as this driving anthem and then leaves from room for her venomous vocal delivery. As angry as the song is, there's an odd sense of pop and catchiness to it as well. It's loud, and angry, and kind of fun, too. "Work Drinks" is an interesting blend of artists like Frank Turner, Against Me!, and The Go-Gos. (If that isn't enough to get you to listen to the song, what is?) It's not many artists that can make a song this dripping with anger still uplifting, so we're going to have to keep an eye on Katie MF from here on.
