Tchotchke - "Did You Hear?"

A lot of the buzz behind Tchotchke is that they're your "new favorite band," but after hearing their latest single, they just might be right. The Los Angesles-bred, New York-based band just released "Did You Hear?" and its brimming with retro delights throughout. Described as "diva rock," the song is overflowing with pop hooks, and while it's partially a throwback to 60's style pop and girl groups, it's equally filled with 90's alt-rock meets power pop (just a more chill version of it). I'm also hearing some 70's experimentation in the song, but I can't tell if it's prog rock or Velvet Underground based. "Did You Hear?" is the kind of song that is perfect to grasp onto just as the summer starts to kick in.

You can listen to "Did You Hear?" below. For more on Tchotchke, check out the band's website.
