It's been a long time since we've had new music from Happy Little Clouds. The Boston band just released their first new song since 2018's Shift, but "The Emperor's Song" is worth the wait. It's a synth heavy alt-pop song that is almost too catchy, as if that was an actual thing. It's sort of like taking your favorite 80's pop song and mixing it with the best of the mid 90's post grunge/power pop movement. This is just pure indie rock sunshine that is going to have you going back to Shift as you patiently wait to hear more from them, hopefully much sooner than later.
