Los Angeles' Color Green have released a new single, and if you like psychedelia, this one is for you. "Four Leaf Clover" doesn't have that huge, classic rock sound you might typically associate with psychedelic music. Instead, the song is more roots based. It has an Americana meets indie rock sound, but, you know, psychedelic. "Four Leaf Clover" is an updated take on the Laurel Canyon thing of the 70's, with some folk and country influences. Color Green have crafted a new sound that may be based on a classic vibe, but that is much more modern sounding.
Guitarist/vocalist Korey Madden says of the band's upcoming album:
“We shaped it to showcase our range. All songs were written together as a band. It’s the four of us in a room and it features all of our voices.”
You can watch the video for "Four Leaf Clover" below. Fool's Parade is out July 12 on New West Records, and is available for pre-order here. For more on Color Green, check out the band's website.
