Nashon - "runaway"

Nashon was raised in New Jersey but now calls California home. His latest single, "runaway," defies all genres. It has this weird Beach Boys by way of Guided By Voices sound, but even that isn't enough to describe it. It's a sunny indie rock goes pop song with a tiny bit of hip hop thrown in. What makes it most interesting is that it's a happy song with a touch of angst in Nashon's vocals. Everything I'm saying makes "runaway" sound like it's going to be a complete disaster, but it works out wonderfully into one of your favorite songs of the year.

Nashon says of his new single:

"Indie rock vibes were the easiest for me to sing, so I ran with it."
