Massachusetts hardcore legends Tree continue their comeback with their latest single, "Happy." If you like Boston hardcore, you already know and love Tree. If you were anywhere in Massachusetts in the 90's, you at least know the band from seeing their stickers and t-shirts everywhere. Surprisingly, "Happy" is a good place to start. While most of their peers seem to be slowing down, Tree pack just as much of a punch as they did three decades ago. This is a hard and fast track that is going to appeal to punks and metalheads equally. Plus, they inject a surprising groove into the song to keep things interesting. It's 2024, and it's time to start putting Tree stickers on every fast food drive-thru and stop sign once again.
You can watch the video for "Happy" below. You can see Tree along with Scissorfight and The Long Wait at Brighton Music Hall June 29. Tickets for that are available here. For more on Tree, check out the band on Facebook and Instagram.
