she's green - "Figurines"

Minneapolis based she's green have a new single out that might be perfect for the warm weather we're finally getting in New England. "Figurines" is a lush song that lands in the world of 90's inspired dream pop. The song feels hazy and breezy at the same time. Maybe it's just the band's name, but "Figurines" sounds like the feeling you get just as trees start to bud and you realize the grip of winter is finally over. It's a gorgeous and stunning song, and that's all before the wall of shoegaze style noise takes over. This one is sounding like a mixture of Mazzy Star and Catherine Wheel, and from us that's very high praise. As the wave of shoegaze and dream pop starts to rise, expect huge things from she's green.

The band says of their latest single:

“In the setting of someone finding themselves lost at a crossroads, ‘Figurines’ depicts the distressful feelings of adolescent self-discovery. The emblem of a figurine embodies eerily familiar images of adolescence, forgotten memories that resurface with newfound significance in adulthood.”

You can watch the video for "Figurines" below. The single is out now on Photo Finish Records. For more on she's green, check out the band on Instagram and Twitter. Upcoming tour dates are below the video and include a June 22 date opening for Softcult at The Middle East in Cambridge, MA.
