Brooklyn post-punks TVOD are back with new music. Their latest single, "Pool House," is a stripped down dance party. As stripped down (by post-punk standards) as the song is, the chorus is an absolute epic. This one is a bunch of fun and has a certain classic punk meets modern punk sound to it. It has the current day fun and dance friendly sound of punk but enough of the classic and vintage attitude to keep punk purists happy. "Pool House" is also heightened by synthesizers and a mellotron, which may not scream "punk" or "rock," but TVOD pull this off impeccably.
TVOD describes the track and video as:
“1970’s modern American punk band gets dumped at a pool party.”
You can watch the video for "Pool House" below. Party Time is due out May 9 on Mothland, and is available for pre-order here. For more on TVOD, check out the band's website.
